Blue in Green is one of the songs in the iconic jazz album Kind of Blue by the great jazz trumpeter Miles Davis, recorded in the studio in March, 1959. While walking in a local woods on a bright early spring morning I saw this green house against the blue sky and heard Miles trumpet.

It isn’t easy being green– Kermit the frog

I belong to a photography club that meets every weekend to document the Teaneck Creek Conservancy, a 46 acre tract that has been restored from a construction site dump to a wooded area with walking trails and small wildlife in Teaneck New Jersey. The club members put photographs that they took at the creek during the year in old window frames and we hang a show called “Windows on the Creek” in the woods every April. This is my entry this year.

In the photograph I see Katherine Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart in the jungle river pulling the old African Queen. I also thought about Kermit the frog who does not have it easy being green. Enjoy
