I have been photographing for Habitat for Humanity for about a year. These are some of my favorite photos.

Habitat for Humanity helps people around the world who live in slum housing or are homeless by building or renovating simple, decent houses in partnership with those in need. Habitat also provides  shelter and housing assistance to help families recover from natural disasters, war and civil unrest. It relies on individual volunteers and corporate sponsored volunteers. These photos are from a “build” as it is known in Habitat vernacular, on Staten Island helping a family recover from Hurricane Sandy, and a build in Queensboro NYC  where the home is being rebuilt and restored as affordable housing.
